Thank you to HEC-TV for their most recent video piece on our Ordinary Lives exhibition. Our late-Summer show currently on view in the Art Saint Louis Gallery presents works by 42 regional artists from Missouri, Illinois and Iowa. The 51 works in this exhibit focus on the details of ordinary lives and living--including portraiture and self-portraiture, images of childhood, parenting, family, relationships, family pets, and also includes domestic interiors, and images of otherwise average tasks of the every day such as laundry, stepping on the scale, brushing one's teeth. For this show, the artists have chosen scenes and images of what otherwise might seem plain and have shed a light on the things that make the whole world extraordinary and beautiful—especially when portrayed or depicted by the artist's eye and hand. The exhibit remains on view through September 9, 2021 in the Art Saint Louis Gallery in downtown St. Louis. We are grateful to HEC-TV Producer Paul Langdon for his work on this sensitive and beautifully filmed video piece.

Art Saint Louis is pleased to participate in the 2021 Give STL Day, 24 hours of giving to STL regional non-profits. This year's event will be held May 6. If you would like to support ASL, but don't think you'll be available on May 6 to contribute, we are pleased to announce that Early Giving is now under way. You can safely donate online here now or on May 6 and your contribution will help move Art Saint Louis forward through 2021 and beyond. We are proud to serve the St. Louis regional community with our unique programming and are grateful for your generous support.
HEC-TV shines the light on Varsity Art XXV, our 25th annual exhibit featuring works by 44 undergrad and grad level art students representing 22 area colleges and universities in Missouri and Illinois. This multi-media show is presented as both an in-Gallery and a virtual gallery exhibit and remains on view through April 1, 2021. Thanks to HEC-TV Producer-Editors Paul Langdon and Christina Chastain for their work on this piece.
HEC-TV spotlights Hope, our multi-media virtual exhibit featuring 48 original visual artworks in all media created during 2020 and 2021 that focus on the new year and the yearning for hope that another year brings, including personal goals and resolutions, fresh perspectives, and new beginnings. 2021 is our opportunity to hit 'refresh' on life as we knew it in 2020. We asked artists to consider what it means to start over as well as how they interpret the idea of hope, most especially as it applies to this past year's experiences. Our Hope exhibit remains on view on our website through April 1, 2021. Thanks to HEC-TV Producer-Editors Paul Langdon and Christina Chastain for their work on this piece.
